About this Blog

I like words. I like learning about what they mean and where they come from. So a few years ago I looked up the origins of the names of family, including my own, just for fun. I found out that my name, Tiffany, comes from a Greek word, theophaneia. It means "manifestation of God." Today, we use the word "theophany" to describe times when God revealed himself on earth, such as when He spoke from a burning bush (Exodus 3:1-5) or when the Commander of the Lord's Army appeared to Joshua. (Joshua 5:13-15). But these incidents don't happen only in the Bible. I don't believe that God simply watches from afar. I believe that He is active and moving in all aspects of our lives. He is always with us - protecting, comforting, teaching - and, if your looking, you will see Him. He wants us to look for Him and see Him. I don't want to wait until I get to heaven; I want to learn to see what God is doing in my life now on earth. That's where I came up with the idea for this blog.

So I'll be posting my God sightings here everyday. And I hope you'll comment or e-mail me with stories of how God is moving in your life. Let's encourage each other and celebrate how loving and awesome our God is. Where do you see God?
